Frequently Asked Questions

Not as bicycles or standard e-scooters. An EU-legal electric bicycle (EPAC, EN 15194) is capped at a 250W continuous-rated motor and 25 km/h assistance. Both APEFOX models are dual-motor machines whose output and top speed put them well outside that definition.

We supply APEFOX for off-road and private-land use. If you intend to ride on public roads, check your national regulations first — in most EU countries a vehicle of this output requires moped (L1e-B) type approval, registration and insurance, or must be speed-limited. Please do not assume it is road-legal where you live.

A single-motor machine drives one wheel. The moment that wheel loses grip — on sand, wet roots, snow, gravel, or a steep loose climb — you stop making progress no matter how much power the motor has. Driving both wheels means the vehicle keeps pulling when one wheel breaks traction. It is the same reason 4WD exists on cars.

Both APEFOX models drive both wheels. That is the whole point of the brand.

They are different vehicles for different jobs.

The T90 is a stand-up off-road scooter: dual 2100W motors, a 1,872Wh battery, 13" tubeless tyres, NFC unlock. It is the more powerful machine and the one to pick for pure off-road performance.

The RH20 is a folding fat-tyre e-bike: you pedal it, it has a rear cargo rack, and it folds down to fit in an SUV boot. Pick it if you want to drive to the trail, or want the option of pedalling.

All products at Xvelo come with a 2-year warranty covering the frame, motor and battery. Every unit is inspected before it ships. If something is wrong on arrival, contact us and we will sort it out.

About APEFOX

APEFOX builds dual-motor machines for riders who run out of road. Where most electric scooters and e-bikes drive a single wheel, every APEFOX drives two — and that one decision changes what the vehicle can actually do. On loose gravel, wet roots, sand or a steep muddy climb, a single driven wheel spins and you stop. Two driven wheels keep pulling. It is the same principle that puts all-wheel drive on a car, applied to something you can lift into a boot.

Two machines, two jobs

The T90 is the flagship: a stand-up off-road scooter with dual 2100W motors, a 1,872Wh battery good for up to 100 km, 13-inch tubeless tyres, full hydraulic suspension and NFC unlock. It is the most capable off-road scooter we sell.

The RH20 applies the same all-wheel-drive idea to a folding fat-tyre e-bike. Twenty-inch by four-inch tyres, hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear suspension, a rear cargo rack — and an aluminium folding frame that drops into an SUV boot so the bike goes wherever the car goes.

Ride them where they belong

These are high-output machines, not 250W city commuters. Their power and top speed put them outside the EU's legal definition of a bicycle or a standard e-scooter, so we supply them for off-road and private-land use. Before riding on any public road, check what your country requires — rules differ significantly across Europe, and a vehicle of this output typically needs type approval, registration and insurance. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out from a police officer.
