KingSong N12 Pro Review: Is It Worth €639? An Evidence-Based Buying Guide
Share
Quick verdict: worth considering at an eligible €639
The grey KingSong N12 Pro at XVELO pairs an 858Wh published battery with a 1000W rated single rear motor, full-size pneumatic tyres and suspension at both ends. At an eligible €639 with KS360, it is compelling for someone who can store a 29.3kg scooter and use it in a permitted location. It is a poor choice for daily stair carrying or for a buyer who assumes its 50km/h design-speed version may circulate on French public roads. This is a specification-based buying review, not a claim that XVELO performed a range, hill or braking test.
The exact SKU and key facts
XVELO currently sells the grey KINGSONG-N12-PRO-GREY variant, listed at €999 before discount. KingSong Europe publishes 1000W rated and 1400W maximum power, 14.5Ah/858Wh capacity, up to 80km claimed range, about 29.3kg scooter weight and a 120kg maximum load. Those figures describe the manufacturer specification, not every N12-family machine visible in online videos. The N12T is a different dual-motor product. Confirm the grey frame and horizontal dashboard against the current listing before ordering.
| Factor | Published specification | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| Drive | Single rear motor; 1000W rated, 1400W peak | Peak output is not continuous hill power. |
| Battery | 858Wh; marketed as 60V 14.5Ah | Larger than the N14 KSE's 500Wh-class pack, but no guaranteed distance follows. |
| Contact and control | 10-inch pneumatic tyres, front/rear suspension, front drum/rear disc/EABS | Hardware is useful; stopping distance and comfort remain untested here. |
| Size | ~29.3kg; folded 1295 × 645 × 610mm | Roll it when possible; measure storage and lifts. |
| Charging | Around seven hours in KingSong's specification | Plan an overnight or other suitable charging window. |
KingSong's replacement battery specification says 59.2V × 14.5Ah, which yields about 858Wh. Multiplying the rounded 60V marketing label instead gives 870Wh. We use the manufacturer's 858Wh for fair comparisons. The main manufacturer page is the source for other figures.

Where the N12 Pro makes sense
The strongest case is battery size without the mass of a much larger dual-motor machine. At 858Wh, N12 Pro has roughly 72% more nominal energy than KingSong's standard N14 KSE 500Wh-class battery. Yet it is about 11.2kg lighter than XVELO's approximately 40.5kg OOTD T10 Pro. The broad deck, 10-inch air-filled tyres and two suspension ends are reasonable features for permitted uneven paved rides. They are not evidence of safe speed on potholes, loose gravel or a wet surface.
XVELO's current photos make the equipment easier to check. The horizontal dashboard and handlebar controls identify the listed batch; the rear rotor and caliper show one part of the braking system. Actual deceleration depends on brake adjustment, pad and tyre condition, rider mass, surface and speed. We do not award an invented stopping-distance score.

The limitations to decide before paying
Mass and storage: “Foldable” does not mean easy to carry. At about 29.3kg, this scooter may fit a garage or car but can be burdensome on stairs. Compare the 1295 × 645 × 610mm folded size with the actual doorway and vehicle space. Inspect the fold latch regularly.
Single drive: One rear motor is simpler than a dual-drive layout, but a second driven wheel can offer more traction on a suitable climb. The published 1000W rated figure does not guarantee a grade at a given rider load. If repeated steep starts dominate your route, compare a dual-motor option and its weight; see our N12 Pro versus T10 Pro guide.
Range: “Up to 80km” is a manufacturer maximum. Fast riding, repeated acceleration, hills, cold weather, tyre pressure and heavier load can reduce distance. Plan a return reserve rather than arriving at zero. Our 858Wh range explainer shows a transparent energy-budget method without pretending to have measured this scooter.
French road access: KingSong publishes up to 50km/h design speed. The DGCCRF guidance says a scooter with an available mode above 25km/h cannot circulate on roads open to the public merely because a 25km/h mode is also present. Confirm the exact delivered version and local rules; do not treat a menu setting as approval.

The €639 offer, explained precisely
At the 25 October check, Shopify showed an active KS360 product-specific code deducting €360 from the grey N12 Pro's €999 listing. The eligible product arithmetic is €999 − €360 = €639. The code does not stack with other product, order or shipping discounts. Open the exact N12 Pro with KS360 applied, then confirm the variant, code, delivery country and final checkout total. If your order is ineligible, do not assume €639 is the price.
At the eligible prices, the N12 Pro is €60 below the T10 Pro, but the latter brings dual drive and 358.8Wh more nominal energy at considerable weight cost. Against the KuKirin G2 Max, the decision changes again: both are single-motor scooters, and the G2 Max has a larger nominal pack and optional seat. One model need not win every comparison.
Who should buy it—and who should pass?
Consider it if your riding location permits this speed class, you can store and charge a heavy scooter, and you want a single-motor platform with a substantial published battery. Pass if you need a confirmed French public-road model, frequent stair carrying, an included seat or a measured 80km guarantee. A 120kg load rating is an upper limit, not a statement that a 120kg rider will obtain the advertised maximum speed, hill performance or range.
Is N12 Pro the same as N12T?
No. This review concerns the grey single-rear-motor SKU sold by XVELO. N12T or another batch may differ in motors, battery, dashboard and photos.
Is the battery 858Wh or 870Wh?
KingSong publishes 858Wh. The replacement pack's 59.2V × 14.5Ah explains that figure; “60V” is a rounded label.
How far will it actually ride?
We lack a controlled XVELO test for this exact SKU. Use the 80km claim only as an upper marketing reference and allow for route, load, weather and a return reserve.
Will KS360 always make the price €639?
The code is currently active for this product, but eligibility, stock, shipping and checkout conditions can change. Check the final cart.
