Onesport OT05 City E-Bike

The most useful OneSport comparison this Black Friday is not cheapest versus most expensive. The OT05 city bike and OT16 Max folder both cost €809 at XVELO, yet solve different problems. The €639 OT16-2 can already meet a folding-storage need; the €999 OT05 MAX is worth considering when its city-bike format and larger battery match your routine.

Prices checked on 30 October 2026 are XVELO’s public EUR product prices, without a discount code. A listing here does not imply a new Black Friday reduction or the lowest market price. Select your delivery country and configuration before ordering; check the final tax, shipping and delivery information at checkout. Delivery conditions and brand-specific returns apply.

At €809, choose your riding format first

The OT05 is a full-size, step-through city bike with 27.5-inch wheels and torque-sensing assistance. A torque sensor measures how hard you pedal, allowing the assistance system to respond to your effort. Consider it when you want a conventional riding position and do not need to fold the frame.

The OT16 Max instead combines a folding frame with 20 × 4-inch tyres. Its 48V 18Ah battery stores a nominal 864Wh and it has hydraulic disc brakes. That package may suit ground-floor storage or car transport, but its listed 31.45kg weight matters if you have stairs. A folding frame solves a space problem; it does not remove the lifting problem.

The versions currently worth comparing

Model and configuration Listed price What matters for your purchase
OT16-2Beige / OT16-2 €639 €170 below the two €809 choices; folding frame, 20 × 3-inch tyres and 48V 17Ah battery.
OT05White / OT05(ships from 30th October) €809 Torque-sensing city format; the selected option is labelled ships from 30 October.
OT16 MaxBeige €809 Same listed price as OT05; wider tyres and folding storage rather than a full-size city frame.
OT05 MAXGray / OT05 MAX (cannot install throttle) €999 Choose the available MAX configuration on the shared OT05 Pro page; it cannot accept a throttle.

Is the €170 step from OT16-2 to Max worthwhile?

The OT16-2’s 816Wh nominal battery is already close to the Max’s 864Wh. You are not buying a dramatic jump in stored energy. Instead, compare the wider tyres, hydraulic braking and the size of the folded package against the simpler, lower-priced OT16-2.

Tyre width is not a universal comfort score. Pressure, rider load, riding surface and suspension setup also matter. If most of your journey is on smooth surfaces and you already like the OT16-2’s fit, spending more because a model is called Max is not a buying reason on its own. Our folding-bike Black Friday guide looks more closely at carrying and storage.

Read the OT05 Pro page’s version selector carefully

The shared page currently has available grey and blue-grey OT05 MAX options at €999. The options labelled OT05 PRO are unavailable. The MAX option explicitly says it cannot accept a throttle. Do not order it expecting a throttle-equipped PRO simply because the page title contains Pro.

The listed MAX package uses a 36V 22.5Ah battery, or 810Wh nominally, versus 655.2Wh in the OT05’s 36V 18.2Ah pack. That is around 24% more stored energy for a €190 price difference. Treat that as a capacity comparison, not a measured range increase. Confirm the supplied configuration and charging arrangements if battery access is important to you.

Controls, colours and dispatch can change the decision

  • OT05 versus WT05: the shared OT05 page includes WT05 options labelled “cannot install throttle”. These are configuration choices, not just different colours.
  • OT16-2 versus OT16 PRO: both appear in the version selector. Check their control differences before choosing an option at the same price.
  • Colour: the OT05 blue options are currently unavailable. Do not assume a photograph means that colour can be ordered.
  • Timing: “ships from 30 October” describes dispatch timing, not a guaranteed arrival date. Confirm your postcode and required date before paying.

What a Black Friday offer needs to include

Compare the exact bike, country total, delivery timing and return arrangements. A brand-site bundle or promotion does not automatically apply to an order placed with XVELO. The prices above need no coupon, and this article does not predict a further reduction on 27 November.

Ask how warranty support works for your model, whether replacement parts can be supplied and who handles any workshop labour. Keep enough budget for secure storage, a suitable lock and routine maintenance. Buying more battery is less useful if the bike cannot be parked and charged conveniently.

For public-road riding, check the exact delivered configuration and your country’s requirements before buying. An EU shipping option, a speed setting or a CE mark alone is not proof that a vehicle qualifies for your intended route. Ask for the applicable documentation; treat high-output configurations as off-road choices unless their road eligibility is established.

Our practical shortlist: OT16-2 when folding value is the priority; OT05 when the city frame and torque-sensing assistance matter; OT16 Max when its wider-tyre folding package is useful; OT05 MAX when its specific configuration and additional capacity justify the higher spend. These are specification-based buying choices, not claims from an XVELO road test.

Compare other budgets and vehicle types in the XVELO Black Friday price guide. It brings together current product prices and the buying questions to settle before ordering.
